Jumpdate Season 7 Volume 6
- Open Labor Day
- Equip Fees & Meet Fees
- National Gymnastics Day
- Acro Trial Day Sept 21st
- Leo Exchange Program
- WJT Cheerleaders are coming
1.Open Labor Day – We will be open Labor Day! All closes will go as normal!
2.Equip Fees & Meet Fees – There have been a few questions about meet fees. Prior to last year we tried to collect as the deadlines each arrived. As the team grew it got nuts and in the midst of meet season we chasing money, missing payments, missing deadlines, losing checks… It just makes more sense now! It was great last year to be the first registered for every meet and it made us in the office way more efficient. It also does put families in a committed mode to the season and the importance of the meets. Imagine having soccer practice and never a game.. Meets are not only a great assessment tool- it is a chance for each child to shine! Equipment fees go for the purchase of things we MUST have for the team. Eurotramps, double minis, special landing zones, the rod floor are all things that we would not need to purchase if there was no team. The team has priority on all these pieces of equipment. Last year we had to replace two of the Eurotramp beds and they cost about 7k. So the majority of this years fees will finish paying those and then we are going to try to get the video playback system we have wanted to aid training.
3.National Gymnastics Day - Don’t forget that we will need performers and volunteers for National Gymnastics Day September 18/19 at the Galleria at Roseville. We are searching to find a new season exhibition leo in time, but may have to do something else. This will be a fun opportunity to show all the cool new gymnastics things we do at AP! The kids have great fun and see friends and if we are lucky a few new kids join AP.
4.Acro Trial Day Sept 21st – Many of the kids have been very captivated with the new acro classes going on the back floor. If your child would like to do this class for fun or even possibly join the team. We are going to offer a free acro trial day at 5:30PM on Tuesday Sept. 21st . This class could be a fun way for the athletes to become more flexible and strong due to the hand balancing and range of motion required for acro. There will be a discount for team members interested in this as an add on class.
5.Leo Exchange Program – We want to remind you of our leo exchange program. If you want to trade sizes in comp uniforms please let us know what sizes you have to trade- there is no cost for the things you trade as long as you “give” what you “get. ALSO you can bring in your old practice wear- all those outgrown leos in the drawers and do the same through APTTA you can trade 1:1 or if you donate APTTA resells at $10 in the parent room.
6.WJT Cheerleaders are coming – It is about to get A LOT busier in the gym. The Woodcreek Junior Timberwolves will begin practicing on the new foam floors up front. There will be 60 kids up there with music going Mon-Thurs evenings from now until February. They lost their practice hall and we have rented them space for their season. We have really enjoyed their high level of professionalism and respect for our facility. We may have a few bumps as things get under way, but look forward to this opportunity.
